From out of a dark sky the shining diamonds fall kissing the trees as they pass and resting a while on their leaves then falling on the grassy carpet below they disturb the birds trying to find some breakfast , the early morning passers-by look up as they reach for their umbrellas and put them up this many coloured display brightens the morning the ladies pinks and blues contrast with the black of the gentlemen’s and the teddy bears and bunnies of the children’s make me smile as if they had escaped from the zoo,
As I bend down to pick up a rose lying on the ground again I can see the diamonds all clustered on the flower as if some fairy had waved her wand this delights my hungry eyes
As I drink in its beauty not wanting the diamonds to disappear I leave the fallen bloom on the ground.
Then the sun comes out and chases the gems away the pinks and blues disappear and the teddy’s and bunny’s go back to the zoo and the morning is dull again despite the warming sun I feel cold and sad that the diamonds had gone and taken their brightness with them .
